Episode 8: Internal Family Systems (IFS): the Second Key to Changing Your Relationship with Food

Question…

  • Have you ever heard yourself say, “Part of me wants this, but part of me doesn’t?” Like, "Part of me really wants that chocolate, but part of me thinks I shouldn't have it?"

  • Or maybe, “Part of me really wants to stop turning to food when I'm upset, but part of me feels like I can't live without it?"

  • Or have you ever felt like you have an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other? Especially when it comes to food?

These are great examples of the main principle of Internal Family Systems:  that we all have different parts to our personality.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is the model that I use with coaching and therapy clients, and we're talking about it on this week's podcast!
